2011 Estate Blend 90 Points

Deep, bright red. Vibrant, highly perfumed aromas of fresh red berries, smoky minerals and dried rose. Juicy and focused on the palate, with gently sweet raspberry and floral pastille flavors deepening with aeration. This lithe, elegantly styled Pinot finishes with silky tannins and very good thrust.

Red with a bright rim. Smoky, sharply focused aromas of red berries, potpourri and  anise. Chewy, energetic and subtly sweet, conveying very good depth to its bitter    cherry and raspberry flavors. Tangy acidity gives lift and vivacity to the long, focused finish, which features fine-grained tannins and a lingering floral quality.

Deep red Fresh cherry and dark berries on the nose, with notes of black tea, underbrush and white pepper adding complexity. Supple, focused and energetic, with enlivening    acidity giving spine to the nicely concentrated blackberry and spicecake flavors. Closes sweet and smoky, with subtle tannins and a lingering floral pastille quality.

2012 Estate Blend 91 Points

Pinot Noir  Brilliant red. Sexy black raspberry and cherry-cola scents are complemented by tea rose and cola, with a mineral element adding lift. Lively red fruit and floral pastille flavors are accented by a touch of pepperiness on the back half. Closes silky and long, with very good clarity and smooth tannins that fade quickly into the wine's fruit.

Light red. Cherry pit, red currant, pungent flowers and a hint of woodsmoke on the spice-accented nose. Nervy and penetrating on the palate, offering gently sweet red and dark berry and spicecake flavors and subtle herb and earth flourishes. Brilliant red. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes fresh red berries, Asian spices, incense and pungent flowers. Bright and energetic on the palate, offering sappy raspberry, floral pastille, spicecake and cola flavors that deepen steadily on the back half. Rich for the vintage and energetic as well, showing excellent finishing clarity, gentle tannins and lingering spice and floral notes.

Smooth and sweet on the palate, offering pliant cherry liqueur and black raspberry flavors, along with subtle hints of licorice and allspice. A smoky nuance emerges with air and carries through a very long, gently tannic finish that echoes the floral note.
